Visitor Visa

A visitor visa, also known as a temporary resident visa (TRV), is a visa that allows foreign nationals to enter Canada for up to six months.  Individuals from non-visa-exempt countries must apply for a visitor visa before travelling to Canada. There are two types of visitors visas; single entry and multiple entries. Single entry allows you to travel to Canada once during the visa’s issued duration. Multiple entries allow travel to Canada for up to six months in one year. This visa can be issued for ten years.

A visitor record is given to individuals residing within Canada. Individuals must apply before their current status expires. This document, once processed, may allow you to stay longer as a visitor in Canada.
